Hello. Thought it was time to post pictures of the mancave and assorted areas.

Here is the view from the bar. Showing the dartboard, whiteboard for various uses, scoring, side bets.

Here is another view from the bar showing our poker table.

Here is a view of the bar. I normally try to keep this stocked with craft beer / premium beer. Games & beer. Great combo.

Bixby's Game Room - The HeroScape Room
=======================================
We have a group that gets together a couple of times a month to play this game. Needed a dedicated room for this.

Here is a second view

=======================================
Bixby's Game Room - Overflow Gaming
=======================================
We have a table in our kitchen where we eat, so occasionally we set up games on the dining room table. This is a game I am developing / playtesting right now. This would normaully be where we play Wings of War with a large 6' x 4' fold out flocked battle board.

=======================================
Bixby's Game Room - The Outdoor Annex
=======================================
During the summer months, all of our dart playing is outside. Normally accompanied by a fire in the fire pit and some tunes over the wireless speakers. In addition to our poker league, we run a monthly dart league.

Another view of the firepit and lounge area. The hammock offers comfort to anyone out early in a Hold'em game. Wireless speakers are on the fence.
http://images.boardgamegeek.com/images/pic536727_lg.jpg

We have a grilling area. Some of our gatherings involve a short break for sustenance. Attendees are encouraged to bring something to grill.

Even the garage has been taken over for leisure pursuits. My wife Kathy insisted we set up the race track. We gather at my place for beer after our weekly road hockey game, usually the cars go for a spin or two around the track.

This past couple of years, we have really worked on establishing a great work life balance. We try to get as much use out of our leisure areas as possible.

The chips are from Lucky Aces. They did a great job with the design.

Nice set up, Bixby! Maybe I'm by myself in asking this, but WTF is that game w/ the Lego-like castle?

That game is called HeroScape. We, of course, went over board and bought multiple copies. Can make some pretty interesting battle maps.

Used to store all of the miniatures used for the game setup in the other room: HeroScape.

Nice, bixby! Even though that HeroScape looks suspiciously like Dungeons & Dragons.

Ha ha ha - Nope. It is a tactical skirmish game. No role playing, just combat.

I have two nephews coming to visit this week. They are gonna blow a top when I tell them to give me a hand taking down the race track...
...so they can take it back home with them. :)
