Building a bar and need help

im trying to build a bar without plans and need too know what is a good height to build?

Bar height should be around 42", working surface behind the bar should be your standard kitchen cabinet height. Important thing is to leave enough space between the bar and backbar.

My bar top is going to be about 46", everyone in my family and friends are taller so the bigger the better. Make it comfortable for you and the people that are going to enjoy it.

im going to go with my bar top at 42" and my counter top at 36" im going to post some pics later when i start doing it. i got alot of ideas rom this site

I had to adjust mine to 43" (42" was original) due to the height of my kegerator. Just factor in any under bar items before starting.
