One resource I've been tapping is this: Easy2DIY.com: Home Improvement Home Repair Help (http://www.easy2diy.com/index.asp)
I'm loving the how-to articles. Gives me a little more confidence to tackle the stuff I've not done before.

What is it that you need help finishing? Drywall? Plumbing? Electrical?

Several threads on it in the forum if you take a look there.
Several people with picks from start to finish, and others with picks to generate ideas.
barplans.com is one site that I know a few have purchased from and found what they need. With a little creativity, planning and research, you should be able to build whatever you want without having to pay $40 buck for instructions on buying 2X4's and how long to cut them.

I used http://www.barplan.com and found it to be worth the $20. I had previously never built anything so the plans were a huge help.

Looks like this project is on hold. I started tearing down some insulation and found mold. My house is a year old and there is freaking mold. WTF!!! Have a specialist coming Monday.

Unfortunately not an uncommon discovery in new homes. I remember about 8 or so years ago an entire neighborhood of newly constructed homes in the Cincinnati area was found to have mold problems. Builders don't take pride in their work anymore. Building a home used to be something that was done by skilled craftsman, now it is done by anyone who can pass a general contracting test and hire a crew for bottom dollar and cut costs at every turn.
