Ok here we go,

Ive got a room, 15'2"x14', the ceilings on the side of the 15'2" walls lean in at the top, because its like a loft style room.

there is a door on the 14' side, opposite the room there is a 67" wide window,

the room is carpeted, but needs replaced, the hall going to it is also carpeted with no current threshold.

ill soon post a sketch of the room walls and such

my questions, sorry my first house, im only 21:

1, if i change the flooring to say a laminate, with a threshold between the hall carpet and the room, how awkward of a difference will it be walking into that room?

2, could someone with measurements close to mine tell me their layout to prevent it from being cluttered?

3, will it be weird to have a bar in the corner, seeing that it used to be a spare bedroom?

thanks in advance!

1st off, welcome to the forum.

Next, what software is that that you're using?

Is there a reason why the couch is at an angle? Is something going behind it? Seems like a waste of usable floor space.

I would put the back of the couch against the wall with the window, and the tv on the wall next to the door. That would leave plenty of room to rotate the bar so it's parallel with the wall where you currently have the tv. It should also leave enough room for the chair in two different spots.

With that small of a space and to make more room,
push the bar against the wall so its not out in the center.

Also it would help what else you would like in the room other than a bar? poker table, computer desk? couch, chair?

As for a bar, like BT said I would do a bar against the wall.

People often romanticize the notion of having a bar bar. When in the end it usually is just a spot that holds glasses and maybe some liquor. Better to do a cabinet against the wall that serves the same purpose at 1/4 to 1/6 of the space and leave yourself more usable space in the room.

I agree with this ^^^^. In my last house, I built a bar bar and it was nice and all, but never really used it as a bar. Closest use was using it to hold appetizers for an FFL draft with a couple people sitting at the bar with their laptops.

That being said, I may end up building a bar bar in my new house just because it looks nice.
