Creating a club is easy – just pick a club name and invitation code. You’ll then be presented with your own exclusive poker lobby that you can customize with private Home Game tables and tournaments of your choosing.

Scheduling games and tournaments is moments away – just choose the game type and buy-in level, then set the date for your online Home Game. The system will automatically notify your club members of the scheduled game.

Obviously, Paypal has rules against funding gambling, so you'd have to be discreet about it.

P* is gonna rake per hand in a cash game and per buyin for a tourney. No rake at Mavens. Then again, setting up things in Mavens is a hassle... I don't mind paying a rake for the instant availability of a P* game.

Another consideration is us Southern-Canadians who can't easily deposit into P*... I think I still have a couple of bucks over there, tho.

Frankly, I could never get Mavens to work for me. Maybe it's my low-speed, shiite satellite connection, or maybe I'm just retarded. And I love the P* layout/interface.

I just set-up a club. It was super-easy. If you're interested, maybe you could join and we could set-up a tourney or low-stakes cash game to try it out.

I'm freakin' pumped. A friend of mine, a poker buddy, was just talking about setting up a private tourney on P*. This seems so much easier.

I just set up a tournament for tomorrow (1/14/11) starting at 10:30 PM (EST). Buyin is 100+9 play chips. Made starting chips 3000 and blind levels 20 minutes. I thought I made it top 10% win money (fake chips) but apparently I made it winner take all. It's also a rebuy tourney, so no one has to go home early...

I'm guessing you have to be part of the club to play, because there is no tournament ID for me to post for you guys.

Mavens, while GOOD, sometimes goes down, doesn't allow as much customization (by anyone but SVTF), and makes "real money" games very, very difficult. If we can work the P* thing into the mix, I think we'd be set.

I haven't played with it alot, but it doesn't look like you can have standing tables (ring and tournament) set up so that guys can play at any time... I'm thinking of setting several members to ADMINS so they can get this going pretty quickly.

A $100 minimum deposit is not the minimum. Using a debit card or e-check., you can deposit as little as $10. I've been on P* for 5 or 6 years now, have always used a debit card to make deposits, and I've never had a problem with security or anything. Now, unfortunately, I've never made a withdrawal so I don't know that process. But I tell you that p* is very secure. If you buy stuff from amazon, ebay, and other online vendors, you shouldn't be anymore concerned about depositing into p* than buying from amazon.

Created a play tournament (100+9 buyin) wit 20 minute blinds, 5000 starting chips, payouts to the top 10%, and breaks every hour. Should be a slower progressing schedule than normal.

I also set up a $0.25/$0.50 cash game, if anyone is interested.

If you want/need more tables set up, let me know. I can set up play money cash tables too.

Added and granted admin status.

Also added a micro stakes NLHE table (1c/2c) and a HOSE 1c/2c cash table. I can create non-NLHE tournaments, but you need to let me know when you want them.

Finally, you guys should be getting email updates when new tables are created. You can turn off that notification if you don't want them... Under OPTIONS, just click the check box that says you don't want to receive emails from the club.
