I've heard that there is a sandwich shop named the White House that is best around. I haven't been there even though I've told myself I'd go each time I've been in town. Next time for sure...
Otherwise, the Borgata is basically the shining star surrounded by a swamp.
PS to add... last time I was there in AC I drove by a row of shops near the boardwalk casinos. One was a "massage parlor". Second story window the drapes were closed, but there in the windowsill was an industrial size tub of jergens. Good advertising maybe? AC is a dump.

Are there any noon tourneys going on during the week? As for the white house, I will have to check it out.

One session of No Limit or a good tournament. If you are looking for the latter, go here to get times and good info for all of 'em: http://acpokerguide.com/newdaily.aspx
There's also good drinking in AC. If you are at a table or a slot or a bar playing a video game that enables the house a shot at your money, you can get +EV by drinking quickly and heavily. And it's all complimentary.
If you feel that you must pay for your alcohol, may I recommend the Irish Pub on St. James Place: http://www.theirishpub.com/. It's a great bar, nice atmosphere, the food is good and is one of the most inexpensive places to eat. Drinks, while not free, are also reasonably priced.
There are no good strip clubs in the city. Or reasonable ones anyway. I've been to two, but I only remember Bare Essentials. There is always a cover, you have to bring in your own alcohol, store it behind a bar and tip the chicks that then serve your own alcohol to you. Oh - an no glass bottles permitted. And, the strippers are very aggressive and just not worth looking at, IMO.
I have heard of several other good bars, but as I almost never leave the casino except to stumble to/fro the Irish Pub.
If you're looking for stuff to do outside a casino... there's the shore and the boardwalk, but most places will be closed and its apt to be cold.
After that, there's pretty much nothing that I would recommend.

The boardwalk is a huge feral cat hangout.
Borgata runs daily tournies for about a C note or a bit more last time I was there, except for Friday/Saturday I think the buy is higher. They start at 11am I think. Check their website though, I haven't been in a while.
There are SNG's that run as well at the major rooms (Borgata, Taj, Showboat, etc). The structures aren't great, way too fast and high rake.

The White House Sub Shop is freakin' awesome, especially if you like hoagies.
It's at Arctic and Mississippi, about 4-ish blocks from the Convention Center.
The Harrah's casino has a food court with a place called the Sack o'Subs, which is owned and operated by the same people. But its more expensive and, I dunno, it just didn't look or taste quite the same.

I would recommend the 11am tournament at the Showboat if you can swing it, or the one at 2pm. Both are good draws and, IMO, the 'Boat has the best structure because there are no antes. I hate antes.
The website I recommended above, though, should be your one-stop shop for reviewing tournaments for blinds, buy-ins, structure and so forth. I used to be very active in the forums there.

Looking at that structure it looks like it will run 5+ hours if you make the money.

That's about right. The only two B&M tournament cashes I have were at the 'Boat. The 11am once, but I was WAY too drunk to tell you when it wrapped up, though I think the 2pm had already strated, and I won the 7pm once. Or, to be, fair, got the top slice of a 3-way chop. That was just under 5hrs.

When are you going to be there?
Fair warning: I'll be in AC again 22-23 March.

Hanging out around the 15k starting stack at the first break. Caught a king high flush early on but have been cursed with the big card little card disease. Blinds are 400/800 so I hope that my luck changes quickly. While I have not seen the other poker rooms around here, I must say I like this room. Decent tables, a smokin hot drink girl (yeah yeah. Will try to get a pic), and comfy chairs. Thanks for the recommendation Buch.

And I am out. After the break I overplayed a k j and ran into an ace k when the flop hit. Good tourney though....would do it again when I make it back here. Now off to pick up some souvenirs for my girls and to grab a sub from the white house.

you can walk out the back door of the 'boat to the boardwalk and its like 50 feet to the taj next door for a $1/$2 game and pick up the hivvy from the mystery sludge on the chips.
hit two rooms in one trip.
