bout time!

My wife and I moved into our new house at the start of the year, and after a few months settling in I have been given the go ahead for my man cave.

here is the space I have got.

now it will have a 4' round table, tv and couchs and I will be building a bar for it. I would love any opinions on the layout. Sugestions on where the bar should be?

First off I will be changing the colour scheme (the photos make it look better than it is.), and I have some second hand carpet coming for it. Budget will be tight but there will be no pressure for it to be finished.

Put the bar along the wall where the green couch is.
That entire wall. Have it start in the corner, kick out 45*, then parallel with the wall, then 45* back into the wall with a flip open top to walk through.

I don't think the bar can start in the corner because of the entry. I'd take out the 45 degree bits and make it an island bar/back bar combination with two access points.

But if you can't get any plumbing down for the bar, I'd make that green wall a self-serve counter top instead: full size fridge for the beer at one side, wine rack at the other, cabs for glasses, snack bowls, and the hard liquor. You also gain back the space lost to a full-service bar.
