I have the opportunity to purchase a 10 burner commercial range (real cheap) but can’t figure out who made it. There are no identifying labels on it. It looks horrible but from pinging it and looking through all the existing parts it is very restorable. I just need to know who the hell made it to be able to order the few parts that I will need………..Help!

Here are the pics as it is now.

Nothing inside the doors or on the back bottom anywhere?

Print those pics out in high res. and take them to a rest. supply house / equipment dealer. They'll know.

You can narrow down the manufactures to a few considering it's commercial.
Viking, Wolfe, Tri-Star, Vulcan, American, Imperial, and a couple others.

Yours looks like it might be a tristar. There should be a tag somewhere on it that identifies it. That will make a nice range if you clean it up. Take out a row or two of burners and put a griddle on it and or other options.

I am still researching this unit. Still, am not sure of who made it. I have been doing comparisons weekly on line and can’t come up with a definite match. I can get it for a song ($100 - $200) it’s just that it is such a big elephant that if I can't get parts for it I am stuck with a monstrosity.

Still need help!!!

You should be able to recoup your cost in scrap metal alone, no?

Looks like possibly a Hobart to me.
Also some serious similarity to old Garland's.

For that cheap, I'd grab it, throw it in the corner of the barn until you figure it out. If it never comes to fruition, throw it on craigsfist for the same or more.

I'm going to trade a Jack/Rat puppy for it, believe it or not, in about 3 weeks. (we are waiting to wean them)

That is the scenario I have planned; just got to see if this guy is going to bite.

He is a worthy owner, he loves dogs, and loves to squirrel hunt! (great treeing dogs)

P.S. I still don't know who made the unit as of 06/04/0211
PLEASE HELP!

I just cut the deal for the range about an hour ago, $150.00,

Going to try to limit restoration $ to 500 or less. I think all the parts are there. I won’t start on it until I am finished with my "Cave" 4 - 5 months. Mean while it will stay under his barn........wish me luck.

P.S. I still don't know where to get parts if I should need them.
