3pm eastern time, 5 minute delay without hole cards. Day 3 of the WSOP. Watch Live Streaming Sports Online - ESPN3 (http://www.espn3.com)
ESPN3 coverage
Anytime there's live poker coverage on ESPN or ESPN2, ESPN3 will be part of the game. However, in addition, ESPN3 will feature a live stream with a five-minute delay coming to you from inside the Rio. From Day 3 to Day 8, more than 60 hours of live footage will be shown, which will include the following:
• No hole cards.
• A sporting event feel with full screen graphics, replays et al.
• Professional players serving as on-air talent. Names that have been heard for this include those that were mentioned above, as well as Haralabos Voulgaris and Phil Galfond. While it's generally been suggested that no hole cards means a show might appeal to only a hard-core audience, the professionals have been recruited to help bring the viewer into their mindset. Analysis from those named and others should prove a strong learning tool for those who are interested in getting better at poker.

Like watching televised golf... Can be interesting, but overall, sleep inducing.
Nice :6c on the river...

Very boring coverage. I think Golf may be better for TV.
The nice thing about previous year's coverage is they chopped out all the down time that you have watching live poker. That and Norman Chad's jokes kept me entertained.

That 6c was a sick, sick card. Would love to have seen Phil Helmuth in that spot. He would have gone OFF!!!
Live coverage is pretty boring. Non-poker fans will hate I think. I love poker, and even I found it a bit boring. Daniel N. had a pretty keen insight: Apparently there's only a 30 min. delay between the hand played and air-time. Daniel said he had people at home texting him about hands. Hmmm...that's quite an edge.

If I had a choice of watching it live with no hold card cam (pre-result) and taped with hold card cam, I would go with the latter.

I didn't like how the hole cards were auto revealed at the end of the hand either...

That was brutal!
I like the coverage, although I was watching it at a bar and had no volume. Although I think for anyone to be really interested in this they pretty much have to show some hole cards and the end of hands, but in the same breathe it is giving away information that the other players did not pay to see. Especially if they have friends watching the coverage and getting text messages about hole cards.

To each his own I guess. I prefer no hole card cam a bit. I had it on for a few hours yesterday while I was at work and would watch hands while I could while doing other stuff at same time.

Too slow for me. I get easily distracted. The premise is good, but unfortunately, watching it live is like watching grass grow.

They used to show taped final tables without hole cards of the main event and they were so boring. When they started doing the hole cams the televised poker took off (along with the boom of online poker). I can't imagine that this will be more than a short time thing. Only real fans of the game would find anything interesting watching the live game.

Wifey doesn't like the coverage but after the first few hands, eldest and I were discussing possible hands like old pros.
It's pretty fun debating hand ranges and reasons for play before the hole card reveal.
I also called Esposito out on a semi- or full-bluff when he bet with a small pocket pair and two overs on the board: that guy's chest-heaving breathing just screamed nervous.
