Did I ever tell you how much I love 6/12 kill at Eldorado?

Wow.... wow :D

Spent this whole last weekend in Reno with my brother, and only left the Eldorado poker room 2 times when I wasn't eating or sleeping. Once to play some craps, and once to play a tourney at Hilton.

The Eldo poker room is expanded, and they finally have their 6/12 full kill game back on the charts! Man this game is great!!!!! I played that game probably 30 hours during 3 nights I was there... took $300 out of the ATM Friday afternoon and put $1900 back in the ATM today (also gave my brother $200 to play some more when he was tapped out). They also have full service food at the table till 2am now, so that's good... too bad the bathrooms weren't closer!

This has to be the juicest mid-limit game I've ever played. I played a usual tight-aggressive style, no mucking around with crap hands unless I was on the small blind or button. Of course, I was having good luck and hooking up on many of my draws and flopping big hands, but regardless I was still getting action all the way to the river! Too much action, actually... My biggest hands (AA, KK, etc) were getting called by 3 players all the way down, and many of those hands got ran down by draws... I made most of my money on big drawing hands (JTs comes to mind!).

All I can say is that this is my game of choice when I go to Reno from now on. If they had a game like that here with that action (given there were a number of touristy types due to the holiday weekend), then I would play that for a living. I could easily average $200 a day, assuming I wasn't running super cold. Hell, the average pot was over $100. I LOVE IT! :lol:
Even 2 dealers commented (later after they had left dealing that table) that I was playing a perfect style for that game, and taht they wish they could sit down there and play.

Anyway... I'm stoked... making that much in a weekend puts anyone in a good mood... too bad I can't catch the Derby tourney tonight or I'd see if my good rush is continuing.

Good job. I am interested to see if you are keeping records of all your sessions. I wonder what your hourly rate on the limit game is (of course you have played different limits at various casinos). Do you average more than 1 big bet per hour?

Well done, man. Have you played the 9-18 at Capitol? Tight-aggressive works pretty well there. I had a +$450 session there this morning after 6 hours. That's a smallish ~4 bb/hr, but the game is totally beatable.

Ace, yes I do keep records for all of my playing, both limit and non (BYOC games I dont keep records for). I have a program that can break down my overall hourly rate, as well as the hourly rate for a given limit. For my 6/12 this year I am, of course, much over the 1bb/hr expectation, but I'm sure it would level out some over the course of time if i played it more. My overall limit expectation is over 2 bb/hr. for this year to date.

skadet, i used to frequent capitol's 9/18 game, but honestly I just got sick of it. i HATE the rake, which is hard to overcome (impossible at limits lower than 9/18 ), and the action is just a little bit too loose and bad for me. My new game of choice in the area is the 10/20 full kill at Phoenix casino... check it out, the game is great!

If I lived closer to Reno, I'd play the 6/12 Kill game on a weekly, if not daily basis. I think the best I've done there was about 700 in a 3 hour session. The great thing about that table is that there is no lack of action. They build just as big, if not bigger pots as the 2/5/10 NL game and there is always a fresh supply of players.

EXACTLY!!! This is what I'm talking about... the action is almost unbelievable and more or less non-stop. It's like fishing in a lake that has a truck dumping giant trout in every couple of minutes or so.

Almost every pot that I was involved in was well over $100. Raises (especially early position raises) meant NOTHING, as they would get 5 callers on a regular basis. I played this table for 3 days, and the people changed regularly, but the play was oddly the same. It's like this mid limit attracts loose and agressive play... people see all those $1 and $5 chips in there and get into some kinda frenzy... I just sat back and drank my soda and watched, carefully timing when to throw the bait in the water!

Quads, now that they are speading this every weekend it looks like, we gotta take a trip over there sometime and clean that place... man, I'd sacrifice my weekend for another $500-$1500!! YEAH!
