Hey guys,
Purchased a set of plans online for a craps table. They are mediocre at best. The plans do not have rounded corners or a decent chip tray. Anyone have a decent set or know where to purchase one. I can build from scratch with adjustments to the current plans but want to try and not reinvent the wheel.
Thanks,
John

You mean like these?
A *lot* is left to the imagination, but they give you the basic layout and dimensions.

Thanks. That helps. The corners are the part I want to recreate and this gives me a starting point. I am going to try and build an 8ft table.

Would *love* to see your step by step / progress pics. It's something I've always wanted to do but have never made the time to do so.

these are great plans, how did you get them,, and also any way to you can send a bigger picture or so? because when you make the picture large it loses resolution and can't see the measurments.
I made a set of craps table plans a while back. I will see if I can locate them on one of my USB keys on Monday. Just made the plans not the table. Three kids back to back to back and it might never get built. :)
FYI you can buy the chip rails online at the following link as well as the straight sections of chip rail. IMHO it would be a lot easier and also a lot faster to buy them. If you do go this route make sure you order them so you can match the curve with the ones they sell

Or you can make the chip rails with the right router bit.
I bought one years ago and played with it.

Quads,
I have a detail of the rail sections and although the straight sections are probably not an issue to route out for most. The curved sections require a larger piece of wood and some sort of jig (which I didn't figure out yet) Curved sections can be a pain. And the correct size for the core box bit is 1 5/8" for the chips to sit correctly. When I was contemplating making my own table I was going to make the chip rails of 2 layers of 3/4" plywood. I thought the layers of plywood would make for a nice looking finish when stain and clear coat were applied.

Not trying to sell anything. Just pointing out they are available on the net for what seems to be a reasonable price to me. I have a set of plans in PDF format in my office and will post em up for free tomorrow when I find them. Or do they need to go through a Mod for approval first?

Yeah the curved sections you'd just need to make a template from some scrap plywood. Easily enough. You can also glue up two or three pieces of wood so you can route the depth needed for the straight and corner pieces.
