Living in Florida approximately 3" above sea-level, I am really starting to loathe you lucky bastards up north with full basements that run the length of your houses and your wives don't care if you take it over... :mad:

I won't have any nice finished basement due to a high water table
But you can't beat having 1200+ sq ft of semi-heated space
I'm planning on building insulated walls, adding electric & just a pool table down there
It will be mainly the kids hang out

I did claim the formal living and dinning room and have them
enclosed for my cave when we built the house. Still not
sure how I got away with that.

WOW, GL with that! I did mine in my former computer room/3rd bedroom, and it was my house before she moved in...and I could claim the garage, but thats a lot of work, and my nice convertible would have to live outside :( LOL!
