Interesting, for those of us into that sort of thing.
On the Friday before the Christmas weekend, the Department of Justice revealed that it has changed one of its most important and long-held positions on Internet gambling, stating that the federal Wire Act of 1961 only applies to sports betting. I see the people who paid the appropriate politicians are finally getting a return on their investment. Legalized poker within a year if not 6 months.

Having read the article, though, it sounds like we're still shit outta luck. Yes, internet gambling, specifically selling state lottery tickets via the internet, may not be legal, but PS and FT violated UIGEA, not the Wire Act. As the article reads, the DOJ will okay state lottery tickets sold via the internet but not internet gambling. Frack!!!
