Had a few hours to kill in that general area today so I spent the time pushing chips around on the 4/8 table at the Pheonix.

For the most part my cards were pretty cold, but I drug enough to get up about $80 just before I should have left. "Ah hell, this is too easy, one more orbit....."

I was able to limp to a 4 way pot with 66 and hit a beautiful 464 flop. Man, I hope I can get some action. There was a bet from EP and I just called. The Asian lady in EP called for a 7 on the turn and sure enough it hit. SHe bet, I raised, she raised, I capped. Ther was one other player in the hand who hadn't shown me much and I figured he was on a straight draw. River brought a 5. "This is gonna be very good" I says to myself. The Asian lady had enough sense to back off, but the other guy suddenly fired out. Excellent! They both have straights! I raised and he just called. I flip up my flopped boat reaching for the $250 pot when I look up to see that the other guy had 77. He hit a 2 outer and turned a bigger boat. He must have ben afraid that I had quads with 44. I really can't see why he stopped betting.

Needless to say, that pretty much destroyed my profits. I ended up wlaking out with an extra $2 to my name. Unreal. I really can't believe tha number of incredibly shitty beats I run into...

I wished I didn't have to be somewhere else though. There were people just trying to give their chips away. There was a kid in the first table I sat at that just kept throwing chips in the pot with absolute crap. Bottom pair, Ace high etc... It was just ugly, but he just kept digging another $40 out of his pocket. I couldn't get anything going while that was going on, but there were plenty of other donator's in that game.

WIsh that place was closer to my house, it might make a decent backup while I'm giving JR the cold shoulder.
