As we left off our protagonist, Ace, just got gutted (or maybe slowly bled dry is a better discription) on the short BJ session and blew back all his profits from poker...

As he circles the casino floor like a hungry vulture he notices an empty BJ table (double deck). A closer inspection reveals it has a $100 minimum. All right, he thought, he still has the original $3G bank roll intact, with the latest set back notwithstanding. He decides to gamble. Although he has played more than a $100 a hand before he has never played on a $100 min. table. He calmly sits down at the middle seat and the pit boss comes by. Ace askes him if he minds lowering the limit to $50 a hand but was politely declined. So he slowly pulles out 10 Benjis and and lays it on the table and asks the young Asian dealer for chips. The dealer, whose name is Bo (which means treasure in Chinese) counts out 9 blacks and 4 greens and the heads up battle commensed. After a few hands back and forth at the $100 min. bet he has pull ahead slightly. The count was good so he increased the bet to $200. First card is a 2, and second card is another 2. The dealer shows a 5 (which is the worth card for the house, even worse than a 6). So far so good. He splits and receives...another 2! Resplit. Now there are $600 on the line (by far the biggest hand(s) in his life in BJ.) On the first duck (Huey) he gets a Jack (ugly). he stands. On the 2nd (Louie) he gets another Jack (Ugh). No choice, gotta stand. On the third (Dewey) he receives...yet another Jack! (why am I still alive?) UNBELIEVABLE (imagine playing aa 7cs hand where you get 2 trips on the first 6 cards; albeit it is a double deck but still it is rare.) In for a penny, in for a pound. Stand. Dealer turns over her hole card and reveals a paint (for a total of 15). Oh god, please help me, he thought. The next card is a....Monkey (baccarat lingo, which mean a face card.) Cha-ching! $600 smackeroos profit in less than a minute.

He sticks around for a while longervarying bets between $100 to $150 with further success (I know, I know you should press your bets when you are running good) but his heart was in it any more. He's original goal was to win the $700 back he lost earlier, but now he is looking down on $2,300+ in chips (less the buy in yields a tidy gain of $1,300+). He knows that his main love is still poker and he has a big date tomorrow in the green felt taking on all comer. He decides to cash in and get a good night rest. It is about 10 PM Monday night.

way to go man! many people wouldn't split their 22 there, instead just taking a hit (incorrect) vs. dealer 4,5,6. ugly 12's, but it paid off. good job! now bring some of that chedder to the next BYOC $100-200 game!

Very nice!!!!

I had a similar situation when I played blackjack in Vegas back in January. I had a 50 dollar bet going on a 10 min table. I was dealt AA. Split it up and recieved another A. Split it up again. Three Aces. First A...paint. Second A....paint. Third A....paint. Cha-Ching. I eventually pissed it all back though. :(
