I've touched on this before at the old place, but this Saturday night kicks all form of ass! The Vegas night hosted by the local pee-wee football program. I get some free tix and it is a mere 5 doors away from the crib. So it is a short Z walk home.
$1/hand blackjack and more than you can eat and drink. Max bet is $5. They are having some hold 'em too. About 90 blackjack tables and 10 or so poker. The wife doesn't play poker, but she will play blackjack. Last year we bought in for $40. After 5 hours and a whole lotta beer and Mike's Lemonade for the wife and some grub we cashed out at $37.
I've been looking forward to this night for about 3 solid months and the wife has even reminded me about it in recent weeks.
We should leave by 5:45 to walk 1/2 a block to ensure we get a table. The only thing I fear is that the guy who is the president will expect me to help him run the poker. I told him I'd help out if he gets stuck for a short time, but I ain't dealing fucking cards all night long to a bunch of drunk red necks that's for goddamn sure!
The countdown has begun!
