Hey!
I could not remember which thread I promised pics of the drop down ceiling speakers so I just decided to make a new post.
The link below takes you to a page with the pics on it and some info.
Did not take many photos today, my son had his camera out so I grabbed him and forced him to take a few.
Tomorrow we clean and the plumber is coming to install the sink and dishwasher.
When done I will take some photos showing the entire room and more of the detail.

Please ignore the website as its being played with for our woodturning club, nothing is 100% done!

Nice info and great resource Pete. Thanks for posting.
What's the sink made of? Is that a spun / wood bowl or a piece of ceramic of some sorts?
(thread moved to the right section / out of Off Topics)

Quads,
It's actually alum with some type of finish on it. It is called "Hot Lava" so being on this island it sort of fits.
When I do the upstairs mini bathroom I will try to do a wood bowl on the lathe.

That is very cool.
I know you do some wood turning and other impressive woodworking, etc. and didn't know if that was possibly something that you did custom to add to that counter top.
Looks great!

Thanks everyone!
Quads,
A good friend of mine is doing a major remodel on his home and we have been talking about doing a complete bathtub out of wood. Most likely it will be monkeypod, a local wood with some very rich dark grain. I have a bunch drying in the garage right now already milled down to 1" thick planks.
It will not be turned but made more like a boat only thicker and then planed down to size. Still working on the idea.
Hopefully in the next week I will have some more pics up of the room and a couple other things I'm working on.
Aloha, Pete
