So how do you like your bacon

With all the bacon talk and pictures we see around here I figured I would chime in. I love bacon as well, BUT, I only like it crispy. I do not like rubbery or floppy bacon, which makes it tough to make some of the "bacon wrapped" recipes, since the bacon really does not come out crispy, or if it did, it would break up, and no longer be "bacon wrapped", lol.

So, do you guys love bacon just because its bacon, or do you like it only if its crispy, or only if its not crispy, etc... ?

crispy is best by far. But my wife makes a kick ass Bucatini sauce where the bacon comes out a bit floppy. It's still bacon so it's still terrific. :)

I prefer crispy but not burnt. I hate it when you go to a "buffet" and the bacon is limp.

Now if it is something bacon wrapped, then ocasionally I will eat the bacon.

Yeah, same here. When I eat bacon just as bacon, I like it crispy, not burnt. And I'm really good at cooking it that way.

But in a dish as a bacon-wrapped something, or in a soup or something like that, bacon is bacon. I'll eat it.

I hate buffet bacon - it's never done enough. Always floppy. I'll usually get sausage links or patties instead.

It better stand up and not flop over, however I like to be able to tell the difference between the fat and the lean. A little crispy on the edges of the fat.

Dammit, better go cook some just so I can describe it better....

I like my bacon about medium. I don't like it too crispy, but don't like it too floppy either. Kinda in between, so it's a bit more firm, but still chewy. YUMMY!
