Maltapoker` has a spectacular aura about
Default Semi circular Poker table

Hi,

We're looking into building a semi circular / half moon poker table. Has anyone ever done this before? and are there any plans available ?

The table should be big enough to seat 8 people comfortably, and should be sized in a way that the dealer can deal comfortably without having the need to stretch too far etc....

Any ideas?

Tks

Build a regular oval table with a dealer cut-out. You can thank me later.

Looks like a blackjack table that is a little deeper... You could just use plans for a blackjack table, which are out there.

Landchark Blackjack Table

This would be fine for a game like 3-card poker, where its the player against the dealer (similar to blackjack), but I wouldn't be a big fan of this for a regular poker game... too hard for 3rd base to see 1st base, too hard for the dealer to keep an eye on all action (or, more specifically, too easy to get something over on a distracted dealer).

K, to explain my thinking a bit more (as I didn't reallygive any reasoning behind my comment), this table would be rediculously uncomfortable. With a single piece of plywood, you'd only have around 18" per player (8' table gives a curve of around 12.5', if taken all the way to the edge of the 4'). That's already a big table, but it's difficult for the dealer to reach the ends (each spot along the curve is 4' away from centre, which is a far ways to reach, but not impossible), and now everyone is packed in like sardines.

If you build a regular oval (standard poker table shape) table, you can now comfortably fit 9 or 10 players plus a dealer around the entire table. Players have more ability to see each other, and everyone has a little extra elbow room.
